Bintan Indonesia - Weekend Trip!

This weekend my Recruiting team went for a team bonding trip to Bintan, Indonesia.  We stayed at a really nice resort - we had our own private villa, and even had our own golf cart to drive around!  We played mini golf, went kayaking, rode quads, had massages, laid by the pool and even went boogie boarding in the ocean - such a great time!  Here are some pictures from the weekend trip...

Tiffany almost killed us in the golf cart (she has never driven anything!)  She floored the gas, didn't look where she was going, and then hit the curb - I seriously thought we were going to flip into the ditch.  Luckily we both survived!  It was actually pretty hilarious (after the fact ;))  Unfortunately, we did not capture any pictures of this near death experience (maybe that's a good thing?!)

Short Trip to London

Last weekend I went to London to do some recruiting for work.  As I got to the airport I realized that I had forgotten my camera!  I was so bummed!  I guess it didn't matter too much because we didn't have much time to explore the city anyway - we were super busy interviewing candidates.  On Sunday I was able to get a few shots from my iphone before heading to the airport.  Here are the few pictures I took...

Scuba Diving in Malaysia

A couple weekends ago a few of us from work went on a Scuba Diving trip to a remote island in Malaysia.  This was one experience I will not forget!  The dives were amazing - I swam with huge turtles, beautiful colorful fish, saw a stingray and even a trigger fish (they are very aggressive).  This was my first dive trip ever, so I was pretty stoked!  I was a bit paranoid of sharks, though - I guess I have seen one too many Jaws movies, haha!  But, our dive master assured me I would be fine (I was still on high alert looking for a great white to appear ;))  Here are some pictures from the weekend trip...

The last month...

It's been a while since I posted an update, but things have been so crazy busy lately!  I have been here for 2 months now, and the time has just flown by!  I have not only been crazy busy at work (which I love!), but have also been very busy exploring more of Singapore.  Tiffany, who is from Singapore (my coworker and officemate) has taken me all around, so I have really been able to learn all about Singapore from a local which has been awesome!  Here some highlights from the past month...

Fish Spa: You put your feet into a tank of tiny fish and they eat off all your dead skin.  I was all about doing it at first, until I actually saw how many fish were in the tank and I freaked out!  Tiffany had to shove my feet in the water because I refused to do it, haha!  This treatment is supposed to relieve stress and tension, I was so freaked out by the tickling feeling I think it may have caused more tension, lol!  All in all it was a great experience, but don't think I will do it again anytime soon :)

Reflexology: After the fish spa we went for reflexology.  Basically they push like hell on your feet and tell you what is wrong with you.  I will totally do this again - it was so crazy how accurate they were! 

Marina Bay Sands Hotel:  We paid the S$20 to go to the top of the hotel so we could see the amazing infinity pool and the view of Singapore.  This was definitely worth the money - the view was truly spectacular and the pool was like nothing I had seen before.

Trying Durian: This was the ultimate challenge - we tried the stinky fruit.  Let me tell you, everything people say about this fruit is true!  It smells like stinky feet and tastes similar.  The worst of it comes after you are done eating; the after taste is horrible.  We were burping up fart tastes for hours after.  Lesson learned: don't try the drurian :)
